United Kingdom-The Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine, gave birth to a prince.

Princess Catherine gave birth on Monday at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London to a royal boy who is third in line to the throne. She brought the prince to the world who weighed 8lbs and 60z at exactly 4:24 in the afternoon. The first Prince of Cambridge is one of the 2,000 babies who were born on the same day.

The birthday of the new Prince was announced to the media through “Roccoco revival-style” at the Kensington Palace shortly after 8 in the evening. The announcement confirmed that Catherine and the newly born child are in good condition and will stay at the hospital overnight.

In connection to this, Prince Charles announced that he and Camilla are completely “overjoyed” with the news. He is also looking forward to his role as the grandfather of the new Prince.

“Grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone’s life, as countless kind people have told me in recent months, so I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future,” Prince Charles stated.

On the other side, the whole United Kingdom is congratulating the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for having a baby in their own.
