Los Angeles– An 8-month-old baby boy died after being left by his guardian in the car all day.
The investigation of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office had found out that the boy was mistakenly left in the car from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (Wednesday).
His caregiver said to the police the she was about to pick him up in his daycare but when she arrived, he wasn’t there already. She thought that she left the child at the daycare on her way to work Wednesday morning but found him in the car the same day.
Spokeswoman Dawn L. Panepinto said in a news release that the temperature there reached up to 90 degrees.
“She’s obviously distraught,” Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards told WDSU. He also reminded every parent that we should always take good care of our babies and make sure that they are safe everywhere we go and that this situations are not supposed to happen.
