A video uploaded on Facebook of a little girl collecting garbage while in her uniform was described as “heartbreaking” by the netizens.

The schoolgirl was seen collecting garbage probably to sell them to a junk shop. The girl already has a basket full of garbage but it would probably not cost more than ₱5.00 according to the man on the video.

What mostly struck the netizens was the reply of the man’s daughter: “Wag ka daddy mag-alala. Lahat ng tao may mararating sa buhay. May plinano ang diyos para sa kanya.”

(Don’t worry, daddy. Everyone has a future. God already has plans for her.)

The man and his daughter turned out to be good samaritans. The daughter talked to the little girl and asked where she lives.

They found out that she lives along a bridge which, according to the man, is far from where they were.

So they gave the girl a lift and helped her.

The netizens dubbed the video as “heartbreaking” and asked about the schoolgirl’s name and address so they can help her.

They also praised the man and his daughter for what they did for the girl.

The video was uploaded by Khenjee Deantonio and it now has more than 8,000 likes on Facebook.

Cebu Street Child Got Help

Do you remember the child from Cebu who was studying along the sidewalk?

Just a few days after the photo was posted by Joyce Torrefranca, the child, Daniel Carbrera, already received help from several anonymous donors.

He was given school supplies, LED lamp, and toys to help him in his study. He was also featured on Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho last June 28, 2015.

Although the social media helped Daniel’s family, the attention of the media, according to his mother, was too much.
