CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY- Interior Secretary Mar Roxas ordered the policemen to find the people responsible on the lapses of procedures regarding the Cagayan de Oro bombing which killed 6 persons and wounded 48 people on Friday.

Roxas got irritated due to the clean-up drive on the area where the bombing happened. Prior to Roxas’ arrival on Saturday afternoon for an inspection at the crime scene which is located outside Kyla Resto, the business owners cleaned the area Saturday morning.

“This is a crime scene. [Never can you see] a crime scene being released less than 24 hours after the crime?” Roxas said.

“On whose orders was this place cleaned?” he asked.

He asked the policemen and local officials but nobody answered. The evidences from the crime scene are now impossible to recover because of the said clean-up drive.

Roxas ordered Misamis Oriental Police Director Chief Supt. Catalino Rodriguez to conduct a background check on the victims. According to him, there is a possibility that one of the victims was the target of the bomber.

“Maybe one of them was the target or maybe one of the perpetrators,” Roxas said.

However, the police are checking the tapes from the security cameras to search the man who planted the bomb.

Reports revealed that an improvised explosive devised appeared around 11:30 outside Lim Ket Kai Mall. The explosion damaged motor vehicles parked 30 meters away from the area where the bomb blasted.
