A phone robber exposes herself after taking a selfie.
A presumptive robber of a phone took a selfie and intentionally sent it to the former owner’s friend using the logged in account in the phone.
Chai Versoza Gatuz warned everyone in her post last July 5,2015 in facebook saying that whoever travels through MalintaExit specially those who works at night should be very wary of thiev “kundi ba naman matigas ang pagmumukha ,nag selfie sa phone at sinend pa sakin gamit yung account na naka log in sa phone,” Gatuz posted.
Her friend, Ian Jimenez who fell asleep after work while travelling became a victim of a theif and upon getting all his money and phone from his sling bag the thieve took a selfie and sent it to her account.
The thieve was identified through the screen name Sheryl. According to the information Gatuz received Sheryl lives in Letre, Malabon and is a known burglar, former prostitute and drug addict. Police officers are also familiar with her and her husband with the screen name Agaw since they have been in jail several times already.
“dahil adik yung napangasawa naimpluwensyahan na din siya ng droga,” Gatuz added.
The money that the burglar took from Ian Jimenez was supposed to be given to the victim’s parents for important treatment.
According to data from the Philippine National Police (PNP), there were 52,529 robbery and theft cases recorded in the metropolis in the year 2013. The Northern Police District (NPD) which is composed of the cities of Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela recorded 4,840 incidents of robbery and theft.
Theft is punishable by law as rendered in Article 308 of the Revised Penal Code and penalties are met in Article 309 par. 1 of the Revised Penal Code.
Upon posting, Gatuz received sympathy from her co- netizen people telling that they all feel annoyed at this thief and shared her posts for gathering more information hoping that this burglar will be put in jail for good.
