Manila – The anti-graft group Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption filed a supplemental complaint against the Philippine National Police chief director Alan Purisma for plunder, graft and indirect bribery on October 8, 2014.
The new complaint filed by the VACC was based on Purisima’s alleged under-declared wealth in his Statement of Assets and Liabilities Networth (SALN).
Some of the assets that the PNP chief have allegedly mis-declared in his SALN presented to the senate is a Toyota Land Cruiser, and several properties in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija.
VACC also claims that Purisima should be charged with indirect bribery because of the huge discount he got for the Toyota Land Cruiser which is almost 70 percent of the total price of the Prado.
The anti-graft group also argued that the PNP chief’s 21-year old son Rainier should be investigated for acquiring a P90 million worth of poultry farm at a young age because they believe that Raier is being used by his father as dummy for his properties.
Meanwhile, VACC also said that the contractors whom Purisima claimed who donated the “white house” at campo crame should also be investigated and be included in the case.
VACC then calls for PNP chief director Purisima’s immediate preventive suspension so he won’t be able to use his position to influence the case.
