MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III, together with Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin and Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman, distribute relief packs to the victims affected by massive flooding in Luzon.

The colossal flooding brought by the storm-enhanced southwest monsoon caused the 70% of the whole Luzon region and other nearby provinces to drown in chest-deep waters since Sunday.

With the said incident, PNoy on Wednesday had started visiting flood-hit areas badly affected by “Maring”.

Together with Soliman and Gazmin, the president provided relief assistance to the flood victims in their evacuation centers.

They also went to Biñan and San Pedro in Laguna which are under a state of calamity.

However, PNoy had also scheduled a visit to flood victims of Mandaluyong City.

Moreover, he assured all the evacuees and victims that the government will continue to provide them assistance while staying in their temporary shelters.
