Manila, Philippines—The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported a new low pressure in eastern part of Mindanao.

The said low pressure may bring flash floods as well as landslides in the southern part of the country. The weather bureau further stated that Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao are expected to experience heavy rains and thunderstorms due to the weather disturbance.

Moreover, the location of the low pressure is 110 kilometres of Hinatuan in Surigao Del Sur which is said to be in the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

“These weather systems are expected to bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms over Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao which may trigger flash floods and landslides,” the weather bureau said.
