Palo National High School in Palo, Leyte has made a strong comeback in this year’s National Festival of Talents after bagging the third place in TV news broadcasting competition in Manila on Friday.

The school won second place in the same category last April 2013, however they missed the contest the following year after being hit by super typhoon Yolanda in November 2013.

“They are so happy. I am very proud of them,” said coach Niceforo Casaus.

Aside from winning the third-place trophy, Palo NHS also brought home three special awards: Best News Anchor- Second place by Irish Selene Yongque, Best Technical Application-Second place, and Best Coaching-Third place.

Other members of the Palo NHS TV broadcasting team are Sherry Rose Rotairo, Bianca Fay Montilla, Kent Noel Reposar, Myrabelle Lopez, Mharamel Palamos and Gorg Ryan Requiez.
