Manila, Philippines — Julie Ann Rodelas, 20 years old, whose body was found after being  abducted, killed, and dumped on a street in Cubao, Quezon City on Nov. 6, was finally laid to rest in Las Piñas City last Saturday Morning November 17, 2012.

A closing mass was offered for Julie Ann at the Mary Queen of Apostles Parish in Parañaque City before family and friends brought her remains to her final resting place at

Golden Haven Memorial Park at 11 a.m.

Julie Ann’s family & friend turned emotional as they bid farewell to a woman who has lot instore for her in the future if only this tragic murder didn’t occur.

The family together with friends and classmates from Arellano University  held a funeral procession from their house in Bagong Lipunan, CAA Village, Las Piñas City at 8:45 a.m.

The funeral procession was escorted by the officers from Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU) led by Homicide Division Head Police Inspector Elmer Monsalve.

Julie Ann had 5 gunshot wounds to the head and body. Her body was found at Murphy, Cubao.

There have been 4 suspects arrested by the Police, which include Julie Ann’s friend Althea Altamirano and Althea’s boyfriend Fernando Quiambao Jr. Through a follow up operation in Culiat, Quezon City, Jaywar Waradje who was also accused of being part of the group turned into a state witness by elaborating what happened to Julie Ann.

Police officers found out that it was Fernando Quiambao, Althea’s boyfriend, who initiated the abduction and killing of Julie Ann Rodelas. Thanks to a small piece of paper—a receipt which Rodelas held in her left hand.

The 4 arrested suspects are now being detained in Camp Karingal. They are expected to be transferred to the Quezon City Jail on Monday.
