Migrante in Hong Kong
HONGKONG- Hong Kong shall experience the first ever and most festive Philippine election campaign ever on Sunday, April 7, according to Migrante sectoral partylist nominee Eman Villanueva.

This as senate-hopefuls Teddy Casiño and Alan Peter Cayetano will be joining Migrante’s Miting de Avance in Hong Kong for the first-time, Villanueva said.

Casiño is a congressman representing Bayan Muna while Cayetano is currently a senator.

Migrante Partylist (Migrante) will hold its Miting de Avance at the Chater Road in Central, Hong Kong.

The leading partylist group aims to represent and be the voice of Filipino migrants and their families in the Philippine congress.

“Hong Kong, being the top post for overseas absentee voting in the Philippine elections, is home to more than 150,000 Filipino migrants, many of whom are working as domestics,” Villanueva said.

The HongKong-based OFW leader disclosed there are about 122,000 registered voters in Hong Kong, the highest of all countries.

MIGRANTE sectoral partlylist composition for the May 2013 elections include: Manila Head office Chairperson Ms. Connie Bragas-Regalado, a former long-time OFW previously based in Hong Kong, as 1st nominee; current Migrante International Chairperson Gary Martinez as the 2nd nominee; and Hong Kong-based OFW Eman Villanueva, Secretary-General of Migrante-United Filipinos in Hong Kong, as 3rd nominee.
