THE TACLOBAN FIESTA on June 30 in honor of its patron Señor Santo Niño is represented by two festivals: Tacloban Sangyaw and Leyte Pintados-Kasadyaan Festivals.
On Saturday, June 27, at least six contingents from different towns in Leyte and Samar joined the Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival of Festivals on its grand parade in Tacloban city.
While on Monday evening, June 29, Tacloban city government will hold its Sangyaw Festival’s “Parade of Lights” with its colorful 3LED light creations.
The two events mark the early sign of recovery in Eastern Visayas after the devastation from super typhoon Yolanda in November 2013.
