Vice Governor Carlo P. Loreto conferred with teachers from Tolosa and District Supervisors of Leyte and distributed supplemental reading materials at the Freedom Plaza of the said municipality, today.
In his speech, Loreto stressed the meaning of labor, the importance of knowledge and the need to rise above Yolanda’s aftermath.
“These reading materials were supposed to be distributed before Yolanda, but then the super typhoon struck the province that most of our time was devoted to the rehabilitation and in rising above the ruins,” said the Vice Governor.
He put on emphasis that nothing is impossible if “we work together and put our minds to it.”
Loreto then led in distributing supplemental reading materials for all elementary schools of Tolosa. This activity aims to strengthen the reading power of young learners from Kinder to Elementary.
In attendance were Board Member Bob Abellanosa; Mayor Erwin Ocana; District Supervisors Rosario Buena of Sta. Fe; Milagrosa Jamora of Tolosa; Josefina Yu of Burauen; and Retired District Supervisors Luzvisa Redorante of Tanauan II; and Ricardo Lacorda of Leyte Division.
On the same note, Loreto will visit Dulag, Leyte on March 31 for the same activity. Various schools of the said town are expected to receive supplemental books and reading materials that will greatly benefit the students and teachers.
