TACLOBAN CITY— Tacloban City Police Station (TCPS) 2 recorded two hit-and-run cases in 2 different areas in this City which left a 10 year old pupil and a 79 year old resident dead.

Celso Telamban, a 79 year-old resident of Lower Nula Tula of this City, was hit by a red colored  car in front a gas station along Maharlika Highway in the said barangay at around  3:30 in the morning of September 4, 2017.

According to the victim, he was walking on the side of the street when the said vehicle allegedly drove to his direction, making impact on him. Telamban fell on a canal sustaining injuries in different parts of his body.

The vehicle sped off leaving the victim on site, unattended. Witnesses identified the vehicle with conduction sticker EG 6267.

A grade 6 pupil of Kapangian Central School in this city, on the other hand, was also hit by a certain white van with plate number HVU-723 at about 7:30 in the morning of August 31. The victim was walking on the side of the road along Congressman Mate Avenue when she was allegedly hit by the said vehicle who drove off from the scene without attending to his responsibility.

The drivers have not been identified yet by the police.
