TACLOBAN CITY- Some 50 elementary and secondary schools in the  city on Tuesday received special education fund worth P50,000 each in support of the Brigada Eskwela program from Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez.

The SEF checks  were awarded to the school heads for their operational expenses and expenditure just in time for the school opening on June 1.

City Division Superintendent Gorgonio Diaz  thanked Mayor Romualdez and the city government for financial support given to the schools.

DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela is scheduled every 3rd week of May.

The formal turn-over of the SEF financial assistance was also attended by city treasurer Susan Cordano, budget officer Vicente Dy, engineering officer Donnie de Paz, other PTA and city officials. By Gay Gaspay
