Senator Bong Revilla gets the green light from Sandiganbayan after the anti-graft court gave their permission for him to visit his son, Jolo Revilla, who is currently in the hospital due to a gunshot wound on his chest.
Revilla was granted visiting hours between 3pm and 8pm on today.
“Due to the urgent nature and as acknowledged by the prosecution, it’s an unusual, emergency, and extraordinary situation, the court will authorize Senator Revilla to visit his son, with all the usual conditions, from 3 pm to 8 pm,” declared Sandiganbayan First Division chair, Associate Justice Efren dela Cruz. The court gave a more favorable condition for the Revilla patriarch, who initially asked for a 3-hour visit to his son.
Revilla will be leaving for the Asian Hospital and Medical Center at 1:30 in the afternoon. The use of electronic and communication gadgets will be under the supervision of the PNP.
Jolo, incumbent Cavite vice governor, incurred a self-inflicted gunshot wound on his right chest last Saturday, February 28. He was inserted with a tube to drain blood from his lungs on Sunday, and is now out of the “danger zone,” according to his attending doctors.
