Manila – After being scrutinized in senate because of his alleged ‘ill-gotten wealth, Philippine National Police Chief Director Alan Purisima is now facing another controversy. This is when the media saw him ride a V8 Land cruiser when he left the senate after the hearing on tuesday.

The V8 Land Cruiser GXR which is valued at about P4 million is not included in the chief director’s Statement of Assets and Liabilities Networth.

The Land Transportation Office then said that the GXR is registered under Jerverps Trading who claimed that the GXR has long been sold through an agent.

Jeverps Trading also said that the V8 Land Cruiser GXR is a bulletproof car which means that it is more expensive.

On the other hand, on September 30 PNP chief director was questioned in senate because of acquiring a huge discount on a luxury SUV which he admitted but denied giving a special favor in exchange of the big discount.

In his SALN, the written value of the luxury SUV is just P1.5 million but Toyota Philippines indicated that a Land cruiser Prado would cost at around P2-4 million.

Meanwhile, Malacanang continues to support the PNP chief director despite all the controversies and said that taking a leave of absence because of the alligations is up to Purisima.
