After its Wednesday draw, the Grand Lotto 6/55, with a 299.7 million pesos prize, was finally earned by two lucky bettors from Luzon and Visayas, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II said yesterday.

The bet on the same numbers (05-17-25-26-49-52) correspond with the winning combination drawn- 25-52-26-05-49-17. The numbers were, accordingly, owned by bettors from Bataan and Southern Leyte. The jackpot prize is earned when all numbers betted come even if not in exact order. The two winners will equally share the P299, 897,496 prize; thus 149, 948, 748 for each one of them.

Rojas said that in behalf of the PCSO, he is happy for the two bettors, who are now millionaires, furtherly noting that the amount will surely improve the lives of the families. “Natutuwa kami sa PCSO sa dalawang nanalo ng Grand Lotto jackpot na kulang-kulang P300 million. Sigurado kami na uunlad ang buhay nila at mabibiyayaan ang kanilang pamilya at mga anak”, Roxas said.

“We assure them of their security and confidentiality”, Rojas added.

The PCSO introduced Grand Lotto only in April 2010 as replacement for Power Lotto. From that period on until the last draw on Sept. 12, 2012, 6/55 Mega Lotto fell only to 18 jackpot winners, the biggest of which is P741.17 million on Nov. 29, 2010, won by a vacationing Filipino engineer working in the United States.
