Alcasid said his wife showed determination and professionalism during the concert.

Notwithstanding her condition that night, Regine performed the best way she can and faced thousands of fans who showed up for the anniversary concert.

Ogie said, “From that alone, I think dapat nating palakpakan si Regine because that was an amazing thing that she did.  It was so hard,”

The ordeal that they went through before the concert was even harder according to Ogie.

Relates Ogie: “Pagdating niya (day before the concert), hindi na siya makapagsalita. Nothing was coming out of her voice. Sabi ko, dasal na lang tayo. ‘Ikaw, ano ba ang gusto mo. Alam ko sold out na yung tickets mo eh.’ Sabi niya, ‘Bukas, lalabas ito.’ She was so determined.”
They consulted the doctor and continued praying.  The doctor left Regine the decision  to continue with the concert or not.    “It was very difficult. Nakita namin yung boses niya sa screen, namamaga. There was mucus all over. It was a mess. Sabi ng asawa ko, ‘Tuloy na natin ang concert,’” Ogie said.

He said, “Lahat kami nakikinig sa kanya. Nasa banyo siya nagre-rehearse and she was crying and crying. Kapag lumalabas siya, pini-pep talk ko siya, tapos ako naman sa banyo ang iiyak. Exchange kami.”
