No words can describe a photo of a doctor grieving after losing his patient.
A picture, first seen from Reddit, has gone viral and stirred various reactions from netizens. It features a doctor lamenting over the death of his 19-year-old patient.
Apparently, the picture shows the doctor outside the hospital, kneeling down and seems to be crying. By the looks of it, he is having a tough time dealing with the idea that one of his patients just died.
“The man pictured was unable to save one of his patients,” the Reddit user, who identified himself as NickMoore911 and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) alongside a colleague who snapped the picture, wrote.
“Though this is a common occurrence in our field of work, the patients we lose are typically old, sick, or some combination of the two. The patient that died was 19 years old, and for him, it was one of those calls we get sometimes that just hits you,” Moore added.
He also explained that “within a few minutes, the doctor stepped back inside, holding his head high again.”
Think this should serve as a reminder that doctors are humans too who care for our dear lives. Let’s say thank you to them, people!
