DFA cancels Sunday operations of all Consular offices in mall establishments

MANILA, Philippines-The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has issued an advisory on the cancellation of Sunday operations of all Consular offices located in mall establishments effective January 13, 2013.

DFA statement reads: In view of the low client turnout on Sundays, the DFA has decided to discontinue its Sunday operations in the following Regional Consular Offices (RCOs) and Metro Manila satellite offices beginning January 13, 2013:

  • DFA NCR-East (SM Megamall)
  • DFA NCR-Central (Robinson’s Galleria)
  • DFA NCR-West (SM City Manila)
  • RCO Cebu
  • RCO Pampanga
  • RCO General Santos
  • RCO Davao
  • RCO Baguio City
  • RCO Lipa City and
  • RCO Angeles City

No releasing of passports at DFA Consular Offices will be carried out on Sundays.
