Those who wish to join the workforce, heads up.
Property Company of Friends, Inc. (PRO-FRIENDS), developer of Suntech iPark, will work hand-in-hand with the National College of Science and Technology (NCST) to further job growth in the country’s historical capital.
The partnership was sealed through a Memorandum of Agreement signed recently at Leighton Hall in Lancaster New City (LNC), Cavite.
NCST is set to conduct a TESDA-accredited program called “100-hours Finishing Course for Call Center Agents.” Graduates of the course will be recommended directly to BPO locators in Suntech iPark.
Suntech iPark, the first industrial development project of PRO-FRIENDS, is located in LNC, Cavite. LNC is a gated community of a thousand hectares that covers Gen. Trias, Imus, and Kawit.
Once development is complete, LNC will be home to a residential-commercial community that includes IT-BPO offices, schools, transport terminals, activity centers, church, events hall, supermarket, and shopping area.
BPO growth in the Philippines
A young workforce composed of fast learners, easily trained, and quality service providers remains to be the Philippines’ primary selling points to worldwide businesses looking for offshore services.
According to Gillian Joyce Virata, Senior Executive Director for the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), the country maintains its reputation as one of the two global leaders when it comes to voice BPO services, the other being India.
