It’s kind of fun to weed out those tweets against Pia Wurtzbach when she went on a jedi mode last May.

When Manny Pacquiao lost to Floyd Mayweather earlier this year, the then Bb. Pilipinas-Universe posted a promising tweet about her journey to bag the crown in the world-rather the universe’s most prestigious beauty pageant, which said:

“Kalma lang guys! Ako bahala. Babawi tayo sa Miss Universe!!”

The tweet, prior to the Miss Universe 2015 coronation night held earlier today, garnered at least 10,000 views-with outstanding comments coming from her bashers, some of which are prominent celebrities. These bashers even wished that she backed out from the international beauty competition, and stressed that she’s totally desperate to win the crown.

But where are these bashers now?

In an unexpected plot twist that’s definitely one for the books, Pia Wurtzbach was crowned Miss Universe 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. But her crowning is not one without controversy-pageant host Steve Harvey accidentally proclaimed Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, as the winner of the competition. Gutierrez was crowned and given her time to enjoy the spotlight, but just a few minutes after Harvey returned to the stage to state an apology, and corrected his mistake.

All the while, Pia maintained her elegance and sheer modesty even as her name was proclaimed the true winner of the Miss Universe 2015.

The Filipina-German beauty aced the scorecards in the swimsuit and evening gown competitions, and as well gave eloquent answers during the Q&A rounds. She now joins the ranks of Gloria Diaz and Margie Moran in owning the title crown of Miss Universe.
