Manila, Philippines – Weeks after the devastating Super Typhoon Yolanda, tons of relief supplies poured in our country. And for that reason, a Filipino songwriter, out of a grateful spirit, wrote a song to the world, especially for those who lend a hand to help the victims of the typhoon.

Written by Ms. Trina Belamide and sung by The Voice of the Philippines finalist Radha Cuadrado, the song “Maraming Salamat Po” (Many Thanks) was uploaded on the video sharing site Youtube.

In the video, Belamide recounted, “However horrible and tragic Typhoon Haiyan was, it brought out the best in people all around the world who showed us their overwhelming support and love,”

Trina Belamide is also the composer behind the award winning entry “Tell the World of His Love” in the competition for the theme of the 1995 World Youth Day in celebration of the visit of Pope John Paul II to the Philippines.

Moreover, Belamide also wrote the songs “Shine”- a second placer at the 1996 Metro Manila Pop Music Festival and “You’ve Made Me Stronger,” both of which are sung and popularized by the Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez.

The video is produced with photos of the typhoon aftermath uploaded on the internet compiled by Trina herself.
