TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines- Salt and pepper- haired Franco Reyes and his Franco rock band performance blasted Parayawan ha Balyuan on the eve of June 26 with their reggae, old and new hard rock music rendition.

The hard rock Franco Band has Franco Reyes on lead guitar and vox, with Paul Cañada on guitars, Dave Delfin on bass and Victor Guison on the drums.

Franco Reyes clad in plain t-shirt and jeans together with his company entertained the night away Taclobanons and visitors at the jam-packed Parayawan ha Balyuan (a venue for month-long band concerts for Tacloban’s feast day).

Franco Band, originally a super group Filipino rock band formed from different Filipino bands ( an all-star line-up consisting of Reyes, Urbandub’s Gabby Alipe and Janjan Mendoza, Queso’s Ocho Toleran, and Parokya ni Edgar’s Buwi Meneses) had its height in year 2010 in Metro Manila with their 11-track album, then they went separate ways in 2012. And Franco Band with its new set of members had its new come back with Franco Reyes as its front man.

Its new album “Soul Adventurer” was released February this year with “Moonset” in it. Franco is famous for his track collection of reggae, mix of old and new songs and hard rock music such as “Seasons”, “To Survive”, “Beautiful Diversion”, “Muse.”, “Don’t say goodbye”, “Last Waltz,” “Renewal,” “Better Days,” “Across the Milkyway”, “My dearly departed”, “Memory kill”,  “Mass for the End of Time”,  and “Uprising”.

A production of Big Boss Daddy, the Franco band with their gigs did entertained the music fans at Parayawan ha Balyuan. More bands will be performing at said venue in line with the Sangyaw 2013 Tacloban Fiesta Celebration.
