MARRIED! The Maroon 5 front man and The Voice mentor Adam Levine and Victoria’s Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo tied the knot in a tent at Flora Farms in Los Cabos, Mexico on Saturday evening, July 19. The couple started dating in 2012. They briefly split up in March 2013 but lat er reconciled. In July 2013, the rock star proposed to the Namibian model.
Levine, 35, and Prinsloo, 25, had a star-studded wedding. According to PEOPLE, the 25-year-old bride wore a custom-made Marchesa gown as she walked down the aisle in front of approximately 275 guests. The report further revealed that there was no dress code for the guests but most men opted for light-weight linen suits while women wore summer-inspired outfits.
Several of Prinsloo’s Victoria’s Secret model friends were bridesmaids and Levine’s Maroon 5 bandmates performed during the ceremony. The wedding was attended by celebrities including Jonah Hill, Jason Segel, Jordan Feldstein and the model’s fellow catwalk queens Erin Heatherton and Candice Swanepoel. Their best man was Adam’s childhood friend and keyboardist, Jesse Carmichael.
Just hours before his big moment, Adam showed a few signs of wedding blues.
On his Facebook page yesterday, Adam posted this pumped status update:
Meanwhile, Prinsloo’s dad, who is a minister, also gave the happy couple a blessing as they married on the beach in the evening.
During the service, the bride and groom read vows that they had written themselves, and afterwards guests were treated to a lavish reception.
The newlyweds are set to celebrate their honeymoon in South Africa.
Adam once joked on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno last October that he’ll never get married.
“I still don’t necessarily think you have to get married unless you meet someone that makes you want to marry them. And then you marry them and it’s wonderful,” he added.
Levine’s wedding came just months before Maroon 5 will release their new album, “V,” on September 2
