Being able to stand on-stage to audition for America’s Got Talent seems to be every American dreamer’s dream. And, last June 21, another dream just came true. 16-year old Calysta Bevier was able to perform on stage.
She earned a well-deserved Golden Buzzer from her powerful performance. What makes this so special is that the Golden Buzzer was hit by the hard-to-please judge and executive producer Simon Cowell.
Here is the video of her winning moment:
She sang Rachel Platten’s Fight Song. The song she sang really suits her as she survived stage 3 ovarian cancer. Caly even gave an inspiring message for people who also want their dreams to come true: “No matter what you’ve gone through, keep chasing your dreams.”
Caly performed well that the judges gave positive comments:
Howie Mandel said: “It was so heartfelt and so inspirational. I just want to say thank you.”
“It was amazing.” Mel B added.
Heidi Klum also said that: “You do have a beautiful voice and I can’t believe that you’re only 16 years old. I mean it’s incredible. Well done!”
Caly was delighted when Simon Cowell said that: “I love everything about you.”
Having earned a Golden Buzzer, Caly will now go straight to the Live Shows.
Unknown to some, Caly already performed on The Ellen Show last December 2015. She was invited into the show when her rendition of “Fight Song” went viral. On The Ellen Show, she was able to sing it with the Fight Song singer herself – Rachel Platten.
